The Role

We are seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to drive growth in our Mining sector within the Industrial division across NSW and QLD. In this role, you will identify and develop new business opportunities, build strategic partnerships, and maintain a strong portfolio of clients. Your focus will be on achieving revenue targets and delivering exceptional customer experiences by leveraging your deep understanding of our products and services.

This is a full-time, permanent position offering a competitive salary, vehicle allowance, and a commission-based structure. This is a field-based role with a site 'home base' at either Moorebank, NSW or Pinkenba, QLD.

As a BDM for Manheim Industrial, you will spend significant time in the field, engaging with key stakeholders in the mining and industrial sectors. Your ability to foster relationships and deliver tailored solutions will be critical to our success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive new business development in the mining and industrial sectors across Australia.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and industry partners.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify growth opportunities and provide insights for sales and marketing strategies.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing deals, ensuring alignment with KPIs and revenue objectives.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver solutions that meet client needs and exceed expectations.
  • Provide feedback to enhance products and services and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in business development or sales within the mining, industrial, or heavy equipment sectors.
  • Strong ability to identify opportunities and convert them into long-term partnerships.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a large territory.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with CRM systems such as Salesforce or SAP is desirable.
